A Joint Series that is Out of this World & a Little lottery to boot!

Lovely Eoean Blue
Okay, my catch line was a little corny. Sue me. I'm trying to show my enthusiasm for an amazing upcoming joint series from myself and the lovely and talented Anitra Lynn McLeod. What sort of
series, you ask? Well, it's a sci-fi of course!

Coming this summer to Siren Publishing, we're going to be bringing you some very sexy aliens and the men who become their property from a very interesting selection process. Winning the lottery in our world does't guarantee wealth and happiness but for our boys, it does guarantee some kinky aliens and maybe, if they're especially lucky, love for every man Owned.

The Owned world
When a virus ravages Earth, mankind is saved by a seemingly benevolent alien race.  In exchange for their life-sparing vaccines, all the Eoeans ask in exchange is for a few healthy human males.  Desperate, the governments of Earth agree, and soon, the virus is no more, but now they must live up to their end of the bargain.  Young, healthy males are gathered up, never to be seen again.

Bound by Pleasure by Anitra Lynn McLeod

Only pleasure could destroy his pain…

No, this isn't one of our aliens but
 an assassin from
Mass Effect 2 but he's sexy so..yeah.
When an alien race saves humanity in exchange for a few healthy human males, Hunter Wilkes is terrified to be selected.  Those who are chosen are never seen again.  Worse, no one knows their fate.  Still, Hunter vows to face his destiny like a man, but he’s shocked when he finds himself owned by a terrifying alien.

Kian Lachlan might have a terminal disease that keeps him in constant pain, but that doesn’t mean he believes the hype about Earthlings having curative powers.  When his father buys him one anyway, Kian is furious and determined to prove Hunter is as fake as all the other cures he’s been subjected to.

What neither one of them expected was discovering a shocking sexual affinity.  True roles of master and slave translate perfectly in the bedroom, but Kain’s father didn’t buy Hunter to pleasure his son.  He wants a cure and won’t settle for anything less.  If Hunter fails, he’ll be sold.

Excerpt:
Hunter Wilkes expected the official summons to be something spectacular.  Not marching band and parade spectacular, but something grander than the thoroughly understated way he found out his life, as he knew it, was over.  Rather than fanfare and trumpets, the command came in a plain white envelope.  It wasn’t even festooned with a fancy script.  It was just an utterly boring number ten envelope with his name, address, and social security number in the most standard typeface in the universe.  For some reason, Hunter found it odd that the Eoeans used something so mundane for their hideous lottery.
There wasn’t a stamp on it because they didn’t use the postal service.  Hunter thought they didn’t trust that the orders would be delivered.  Or if they were received on time by the right man, he might claim that he never got it.  So they sent an official.  Hunter had seen the pale blue van in his neighborhood before.  Whenever anyone saw one they all stopped, stared, and prayed to whatever god they believed in that the van wasn’t coming to their house.  Hunter hoped his mother hadn’t been at the window when the van had come.  Although, as soon as she opened the door and saw the man in the crisp, white uniform with the light blue trim, she would have known.  Everyone knew.  She would have confirmed that Hunter Wilkes was her son, that he lived in the house, and that he would present himself according to the instructions inside the envelope she’d been given.  Hunter didn’t have to see her perform those actions to know that was exactly what she would have done.  Because if Hunter knew nothing else about his mother, he knew she was a law-abiding citizen.

Bound by Defiance by Jana Downs

Alexis Bedlam has been chosen.

Selected by the annual lottery as a sacrifice to the alien race that saved mankind from the Great Plague, he’s none too happy to be carted off to be some alien’s snack pack, love slave maybe, but not someone’s dinner. Little does he know that he’ll come face to face with the alien master of his dreams.

Elia, the twenty-seventh spawn of Prince Kranok, has been ordered to wed. Luckily for him, the annual lottery has provided a being that is rumored to be the perfect first concubine for him. What the rumors didn’t tell him is that his particular human is stubborn, sexy, and determined to make a new path for the both of them in an alien world.

As questions about the legitimacy of Elia’s ownership arise, he will have to decide if he will surrender to authority and follow tradition or if defying his past is worth a future with Alexis.

Excerpt:
Oh God. I’m so nauseous. I don’t want to sacrifice anything. I want to go work for my father at his insurance company and smooze. I’m a good smoozer. Is smoozer even a word?
“So many volunteered the first year that a lottery was developed to see who would be chosen for this most honorable of positions. We continue this tradition on today. It will be a harrowing journey, one which will require the young man to give himself completely to the unknown. Good luck to you all.”
Alexis gripped the handle of his satchel and twisted. It was either that or scream. He glanced around the domed room with its polished wood floors and vaulted ceilings and looked at all the portraits of lottery winners who had gone before him. All of them had been all beautiful in their youth. Every town had a different way of doing the lottery but the result was always the same. Some men left and never returned. He couldn’t help but wonder why the Eoanas had wanted them. What did they do to the winners?
The chosen elder for the year was dressed in his ceremonial robes that were, oddly enough, just like the ones the elders wore to the graduation ceremony at the college that had taken place three months ago. Since the population had been decimated, any sort of coming of age ceremony lent itself to an over the top gathering. It helped remind them all that they were recovering thanks to the Eoeans and their vaccines.
His peers were dressed similarly to the way Alexis was dressed, three piece suites that were probably more expensive than they were worth. It was a “gift” from the town when they came of age. It was the most expensive thing most of them owned. The ones who were eligible for the lottery were seated on the long wooden benches in front of the podium five rows deep and two rows wide. Alexis had chosen to sit near the back for a quick escape to vomit after the lottery was finished.
“No worries, Alexis,” Jess said, grinning. “It’ll be over in just a second. Look, they’re lowering the projection screen now.” The screen slowly came down from the ceiling like a great white tongue sticking out from the mouth of society, mocking Alexis who squirmed at its arrival. Why did they have this stupid ritual? Why couldn’t they just send the winner a notification via email or something?
Alexis’s gaze went to his father who was sitting in his section among other entrepreneurs of the city. What would he and Sire do if Alexis was sent away? An artificially created offspring, Alexis was the exact blend of his Father and Sire’s DNA and therefore the only legitimate heir. They could always create another one via test tube but they’d have to wait another eighteen years before that child reached majority. It seemed like a monumental risk considering the expense of artificial procreation. The fetal survival rate wasn’t very high and they were prone to infections. It had been that way since the Great Plague.
The screen flashed white, then blue, and then back to white. Please, let it be broken. The sick feeling in Alexis’s stomach grew with each passing second. He squeezed his eyes shut, unable to take the tension. Why did they have to make such a process out of this? When this was over he was going to his father’s lounge and drowning himself in a bottle of Turnac liquor.
“Alexis Bedlam, please come forward to accept the honor of the lottery clasp and say good bye to your family.” Elder Garet’s voice might as well have been a pistol shot for the reaction it got. Alexis’s heart tripped over itself before stopping for an insane moment before thundering back to life in a full on gallop. "The next lottery winner will be announced in two minutes. Alexis, step forward.”
“Oh fuck,” Jess whispered beside him. His sentiments exactly.

    1. Our aliens do tend to be more than a little on the sexy side. :) We're very excited for the series as well. If you have to leave all you know behind, a bunch of Siren-Bookstrand authors isn't bad company to take with. ;)

    2. In Avon Lake Ohio they hold the Duck Tape Festival in July. They sponsor a contest for the seniors at Avon Lake High School. The seniors make their prom dresses out of Duck Tape to win scholarships. You can see the dresses at the festival. They are amazing.

  8. I don't think I would bring anything. I don't really know the working of the new world I would be exposed to and how it runs. There's not guarantee anything I would bring would be useful or survive the travels. Also I think I would be depressed if I was chosen for the lottery and had to leave behind my family, so I would rather not take anything.
