Thrice Bitten
Collin hasn't had the same luck with his dates at sHarmony as his friends have and he knows it might
be a while before he gets the opportunity to meet the shifter of his dreams. However, a gorgeous man comes walking through the front door in need of a man with his particular professional skills.
Mikey has known Collin was his mate since the first time he met him at his friend Logan's party months ago but despite being introduced three times, Collin hasn't given him the time of day. When he reintroduces himself at Collin's office and commissions his company to design a website for his sport's camp he is relieved that he is finally getting some kind of attention.
Mates are supposed to be made for one another but it seems like Collin and Mikey are night and day. Will they find common ground or will their differences prove to be too great to maintain a relationship?
STORY EXCERPT
Just as he came into the hallway, the front door indicator chimed, alerting that someone had come in. Collin sighed. He really didn’t want to deal with anymore clients today. Trying to sell them their services while trying to negotiate unreasonable demands or a bottom line that was downright outrageous really killed his Zen. Okay, it wasn’t that bad. However, the past few customers had made him want to pull his hair out.
He slipped his cell into his pocket and changed direction, heading toward the lobby instead. “Hello,” he greeted, pasting his best smile on just in case. “Can I help you?”
The man standing just inside the door looked just like an athlete in a football movie. Tall, thick, and muscular with sandy-blond hair cropped short and a devastatingly sheepish smile, the guy looked like he’d just stepped out of Collin’s Jock Cox magazines. Well, hello, gorgeous. He even had the khaki pants and the collared shirt with some kind of sports emblem on the breast pocket.
“Hi,” the guy said, tucking his hands into his pockets. “I don’t know if you remember me. I’m Michael Thorton, Mikey. I’m a friend of Logan’s.”
Collin blinked. He was usually really good with faces. The guy looked familiar but not overly so. Hmm… “What can I do for you, Michael?”
Michael’s lips twitched. “It’s Mikey. You can never seem to remember that.”
Collin’s eyebrows went heavenward. “Oh?”
“Yeah. We’ve met three times.”
He frowned. That wasn’t like him. Collin was usually very good with faces and names for the most part. “I’m sorry. Er, does Jude and Logan need something?”
“No. I mean, I don’t know if they do or not, but they didn’t send me.”
O…K. “So why are you here?”
Mikey rubbed the back of his neck. “I was hoping you could give me a quote for a website.”
Ah. Clarity returned. Everything in Collin relaxed as he realized it was business as usual despite the weird introduction. “Sure thing. Why don’t you step into my office and we can get started?”
He turned on his heel and headed back to his space. Zelda wouldn’t get played, but if this guy was a friend of Jude and Logan, it wouldn’t do for him to be rude to the guy. He opened the door to his office and motioned Mikey to take a seat. It was really weird that he didn’t recognize the guy. Other than a general sense of familiarity, he had no memories. While Mikey’s back was turned, Collin took time to give him another once-over. He figured he would at least remember how the guy looked. He was to the “T” Collin’s type.
“So what do you do for a living, Mikey?” he asked. Keep it professional. Keep it light. He’s here to buy, not be ogled.
“I’m the head of the athletic program at Georgia State currently,” he said, turning his head to watch Collin make his way to his desk and take a seat.
Collin’s eyes widened. “You guys need your website redone?”
“Um, not exactly, no. We’re thinking about doing a summer athletic program for the community where parents can send their kids to what essentially amounts to sports camp. We’ve got the ‘okay’ from the university, and all we need is to create a website for signups, advertisement, that sort of thing.”
“Do you have an advertising firm in mind?” Collin asked. “I have a few that are preferred clients if you want to go with our services.” His mind ran with possibilities. Jude could do most of the advertising graphics himself, and one of their partners would be in charge of the frontline distribution. They were good.
Mikey shook his head. “Nope. I really just want to one-stop shop if possible.”
“We can definitely do that,” Collin said, smiling. He scribbled some notes on the notepad, making notes for Jude and Evan if they got that far. “What sort of budget are you working with?”
“Well, that depends.”
Red flags waved like warning bells in his head. “On what?”
“Which aspect of the site you’re doing.” He sighed. “There needs to be a section in the signups for a separate shifter camp. The Alumni are only willing to pay for the human side of the site. So that budget is pretty unlimited. I’ve only got about five thousand dollars for our shifter students.”
“So basically you need two sites in one.”
He nodded.
Collin inclined his head. “That is doable.” Maybe. If he played a lot with the numbers. “Why won’t they pay for the shifters to have their own signups?” He understood logically that it would be better for physical reasons to separate the groups for certain activities. Shifters had a little edge in some areas, and working with people who understood their differences was essential. However, it wasn’t like they had to be segregated for everything.
Mikey shifted in his seat. “They feel like the ‘lifestyle’ is too controversial at the moment. They don’t want to bring undue attentions to the program that might compromise its integrity.”
Insta-rage doused Collin’s insides. “That’s bullshit.”
Mikey shrugged. “That’s life.”
ADULT EXCERPT
“So you’re putting on a show for me?”
Collin grinned. “Yep. And you’re going to do the same.”
“Is this okay, you know, in your break room?”
“I think that it’s the perfect place. We’ve christened your car, my car, the showers at the park, and that little pizzeria’s bathroom on fourth. Seriously, we’re making almost sex in public places an art.” Collin popped the button on his slacks and pulled his cock out without preamble before putting a healthy dollop of lotion in his hand and then handing it back to Mikey. “I mean, in this relationship, I almost feel like if we couldn’t get arrested while doing it there, it’s probably not some place that you’d be willing to go.”
Mikey burst out laughing, unable to help the humor as it bubbled up. He was right. The funny part was, Mikey had never been publically promiscuous before. He and Desmin had never done it anywhere outside the house in the five years they were married. It was just Collin that brought out the I-have-to-have-you-right-now in him, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. On top of that, Mikey had known if he got Collin anywhere near a bed he’d be fucked. The chemistry between them was just too damn potent.
He popped the button on his own work slacks before lowering the zipper and pushing his pants part way down his knees. “Do we have some paper towels?” He could not go back to work with cum stains on his clothes. It would be embarrassing enough knowing that some of the other shifters would know he’d been having sex.
“Napkins in the second drawer by the sink,” Collin rumbled, stroking his cock already. “Really like you, big guy.”
Mikey shuffled over and retrieved the napkins. “Gotta hurry. No telling when your buddies are going to get back.”
“God, your ass. You’ve got such a nice fucking ass.” Collin groaned, jerking himself faster. He was completely checked out, completely focused on his pleasure.
Mikey turned, taking his own cock in hand. “You like what you see, Collin?” he asked, tracing his musculature with his free hand.
“Yeah,” Collin panted, his eyes glazed with lust. Collin’s fingers trailed down to his tight sac and lower, teasing the sensitive area just behind them. “I want you inside me so bad. Been dreaming about it for weeks.”
That revved Mikey’s engine higher. He’d been dreaming about the exact same thing. He played with his cock, using his favorite technique with a bit of flare in order to give his mate a good show. It wouldn’t be long before he was near the peak. Unfortunately all their playing had only sought to increase his libido while decreasing his ability to last for any length of time.
He swallowed. “What have you been dreaming about me doing, babe?”
“I keep thinking one day after I’ve gone to bed after a date you’ll come in through a window and crawl into bed with me.” A shot of pre-cum dripped from the tip of Collin’s dick as he watched Mikey’s hand movements. Mikey jerked off the same way he would fuck Collin, showing to him just how virile he was. It was an animalistic impulse but one he wasn’t going to deny.
“What then?” he all but growled, pumping into his fist harder.
“Then you’ll put your hand over my mouth and pull down my boxers.” Collin groaned, his fantasy obviously getting him further aroused. “You slick up two fingers and slip them into my ass to stretch me while I’m squirming and struggling to get away. I know it’s you, but I want you to earn it.”
Mikey moaned that time, long and low. His Collin was so much more kinky than he’d originally thought, and damn if he wasn’t going to make Mikey kinkier, too. Gentleman in the street and a freak in the bed. That’s hot. “Do I fuck you then?” Mikey asked.
“Then you spread my ass and fuck me hard, giving me no time to adjust or anything else,” Collin whispered the words, forcing them out despite the fact that he was strangled with want. “You keep pounding me until you come, and I’m helpless to do anything but come on your command.”
“God damn, that’s hot,” Mikey rumbled, his hand losing its rhythm as orgasm commanded him to give into his want. “Gonna come, babe. Gonna come hard.”
“God, yeah, show me how you come, Mikey. Love watching you come.”
